Après DAVE BICKLER et Darklight, on passe à Bill Champlin and Wunderground avec l’ album Bleeding Secrets.
Là non plus je ne vais pas faire l’affront de présenter Bill Champlin, clavier mythique de Chicago, et chanteur sur toutes la période très AOR, et auteur d’une belle carrière solo avec en point d’orgue son monument Runaway (81).
Depuis qu’il a quitté Chicago il navigue entre différents projets avec Peter Friestedt et Joseph Williams par exemple mais aussi avec sa femme Tamara et son ami Gary Falcone pour ce Bleeding Secrets. Cet album c’est un peu la Foirfouille !!! On y trouve tous les styles quitte à s y perdre un peu dans les rayons. Du rock teinté 70s, de la Westcoast, du blues, de la pop, du à cappella. Chacun des protagonistes se partagent les vocaux et on sent un réel plaisir à avoir fait cet album. Pour l’auditeur ça reste correct mais pas transcendant. Il y a trop de différences de qualités entre les titres.
Dans l’ensemble ça s’écoute mais pas plus. Un peu décevant tout de même.
