Sony Music Entertainment et Legacy Recordings ont signé Vai pour plusieurs albums dont  Stillness In Motion - Vai Live in L.A pour  le 7 Avril.

Il s'agit d'un concert enregistré le 12 Octobre 2012 au Club Nokia à Los Angeles. Disponible en configurations 2CD et 2DVD, Stillness In Motion revient sur le 49eme concert du Story of Light World Tour.

Allant de 2012 à 2014, cette tournée a compté 253 concerts dans 52 pays. Au programme aussi un disque bonus, un journal vidéo révélateur de plus de trois heures et demie  hors scène et derrière les coulisses lors de l'épopée Un extrait de ce live dans la video ICI .
