Le troisième album phare de QUIET RIOT, Metal Health, est sorti le 11 mars 1983. Mené par la reprise SLADE de "Cum On Feel The Noize", l'album est remarquable pour être le tout premier album de heavy metal à atteindre la première place du Billboard 200, éliminant Synchronicity de THE POLICE de la première place aux États-Unis. Metal Health est six fois platine aux États-Unis (six millions d'exemplaires) et trois fois platine (300 000 exemplaires) au Canada.
