triste nouvelle, après l'annulation du concert aux States, suite apparemment à une décision du chanteur Jari Tiura, Schenker semble dégouté et parle d'arrêter le MSG, il a posté des messages dont un mail d'échange avec Jari, bonjour l'ambiance :
Legendary guitarist Michael Schenker (MSG, ex-UFO, SCORPIONS) has posted several personal letters on his official web site, including a recent e-mail exchange with MSG's last vocalist, Jari Tiura, whom Schenker previously blamed for the cancellation of the group's U.S. tour. The e-mail exchange reads as follows:
Tiura: "Hi Michael, how are you? This situation is pretty confusing, so do you know what is my role now?"
Schenker: "I have quit playing."
Tiura: "Don't do that, please. Anyway, The Sun Will Shine. New album title? Take care and turn this all into music. Be strong!"
Schenker: "How can I be strong after you decide not to continue with the rest of the tour. I have given you the chance to be on the most important album of MSG. You canceled U.S. after I have put all my money into this project. This is an insult. I am tired of changing musicians and singers. MSG is finished and I am not inspired anymore. The sun will shine? What sun are you talking about? What next album are you talking about? You fucked me and went your way. The sun is not selfish."

moi je l ai vu au graspop et franchement , je trouve qu il ferai mieu d arreter j en avais un tres bon souvenir jusque la mais la c etait plutot pitoyable, heureusement que les reprises de UFO ont fait bouger les gens , sinon c etait triste a mourrir, surtout schenker qui n est plus que l ombre de ce qu il a ete .j ai franchement eu peur en le voyant .  |

Il a à nouveau le moral, il a réouvert son site et fait un communiqué comme quoi il allait assurer la tournée au Japon et en angleterre ce mois de novembre :

la tournée US avait été annulée suite aux différents avec Jari, la tournée asiatique tourne au vinaigre, un concert aborté suite à des pbs de sante de Michael + son jeu pas terrible d'après le bassite :
MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP (MSG) bassist Rev Jones has issued the following statement regarding guitarist Michael Schenker's performance at the group's recent shows in Japan and Thailand:
"I want to apologize to all the fans that wrote to me and all the fans in Japan and Thailand for the talentless guitar player that took place on stage next to me at the last three MSG shows. I myself could not believe how bad Schenker played. Although me, Pete [Holmes, drums], Jari [Tiura; vocals], and Wayne [Findley; guitar/keyboards] all gave 110%, in my eyes he gave less then 1% and that is so disrespectful not only to the band and the crew but also to the loyal MSG fans. So again I apologize for his actions because he would never apologize himself. We have two more shows and it is OVER."
As previously reported, Schenker was forced to cancel MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP's concert at Tokyo, Japan's Nakano Sunplaza after three songs Friday night (Nov. 17) because he was allegedly suffering from an unspecified illness. A detailed report on the show can be found at this location.
