According to Aislinn Simpson of UK's Telegraph, guitarist Jimmy Page stated in a brand new interview over the weekend that LED ZEPPELIN is ready to reunite and perform more live events.
But he said that fans could have to wait until autumn 2009 as band members had to tie up individual projects first.
Page and John Paul Jones joined the FOO FIGHTERS onstage Saturday night (June 7) during the final encore of the Dave Grohl-fronted band's concert at Wembley Stadium in London, England. The ZEPPELIN duo and the FOOS played "Rock And Roll" with Dave Grohl on drums and FOO FIGHTERS drummer Taylor Hawkins singing. Grohl and Hawkins then switched places for "Ramble On".
An emotional Grohl told the crowd after the impromptu appearance: "Welcome to the greatest day of my whole entire life."
In a recent issue of Uncut magazine, singer Robert Plant, who is widely viewed as the lone hold out on agreeing to a full scale ZEPPELIN tour, was asked if he felt the success of the band's performance last December at London's O2 Arena was enough of a victory to permanently ice any future work with the band. Plant said, "Not at all. I really enjoyed it. And hopefully, one day we could do it again for another really, really good reason... For people who came from Australia or Japan, to Jason (Bonham's) family, John's family, all the families — anticipation and expectation was huge. The potential for failure was also great because nobody knew what it was going to be like."
Plant went on to reflect on the O2 show saying, "We did what we set out to do and more, in every respect. We showed people that LED ZEPPELIN did go on a bit... The interplay between us all was excellent."
John Paul Jones, who has said that he, like Page and Bonham, would like the band to hit the road, reflected on the reunion gig, saying, "It felt like the first night of a tour. You think, 'Oh, I could do that bit better, or change something in that song.' And we didn't get a chance to do any more."
When pressed about the prospects of a ZEPPELIN reunion album, Jones said, "I'm not too certain about anything at the moment. I've got no idea what's going to happen, but I'd certainly like to play with Jimmy again."
Jimmy Page said that there are currently no plans to release a CD or DVD from the O2 show: "It was recorded, but we didn't go in with the express purpose of making a DVD to come out at Christmas, or whatever. We haven't seen the images or investigated the multitracks. It's feasible that it might come out at some distant point, but it'll be a massive job to embark on."
When asked point blank what the current status of ZEPPELIN is now and if a tour could happen, Page said, "The focus was on the O2 show. That's what I had my focus on. As for Robert, he had a parallel project (with Alison Krauss) and it's been successful, which I suppose means he doesn't have time for ZEPPELIN at this moment. What I do know — is at the rehearsals, and the O2 gig, we were really inspiring. Okay? That's all I'll say."

Plant recently shot down reports that he has signed on to team up with LED ZEPPELIN for a reunion tour. In a message posted on his web site, the singer said that he had no road plans after his recent tour with Alison Krauss, which wrapped on October 5 in Saratoga, Florida.
The message read in part: "Robert has no intention whatsoever of touring with anyone for at least the next two years. Contrary to a spate of recent reports, Robert Plant will not be touring or recording with LED ZEPPELIN. Anyone buying tickets online to any such event will be buying bogus tickets."
Plant himself was quoted as saying, "It's both frustrating and ridiculous for this story to continue to rear its head when all the musicians that surround the story are keen to get on with their individual projects and move forward. I wish Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham nothing but success with any future projects."
Page, Jones and Bonham have reportedly been rehearsing with a series of other vocalists, including Kennedy. There has been no official announcement as to whether the band is planning to tour or record together without Plant's involvement. |

Pour moi ils sont foutus pour refaire une reformation avec le line up original , c'est comme Van Halen et Gun'n'Roses! Pour moi c'est mort et j'ai même de la pitié pour eux , je pense qu'arriver à ce niveau là , il vaut mieux raccrocher , c'est comme Deep Purple , çà ne ressemble plus à rien , Blackmore et Lord ne sont plus là et Gillan est fini vocalement le pauvre , puis ils n'ont plus rien à prouver et aussi ils ont assez amassés de pognons , c'est comme Queen , je ne comprends pas que Paul Rodger se soit mit dans ce projet , ce n'est pas du tout son style , Bref en ce moment ils chient tous dans la colle! |

Pas du tout d'accord avec tout ça !
Van Halen a bien remis un line-up presque original, avec les 2 piliers fondateurs à l'origine du son VH, et leur retour a été un gros succès, pourquoi, parce qu'il y avait la flamme, meme si le pognon était derrière, et je me régale par avance du futur DVD.
Deep Purple, le line-up a toujours été très mouvant, voir les Marl 1, 2, ..; et avec Coverdale + Hugues, ça le faisait tout autant qu'avec Gillan. Pour les avoir vus sur scène sur leurs dernières dates, ça reste du top avec des musiciens d'exception comme Morse, airey ...
pour Queen and Company, c'est plus mitigé, mais il y a qques chouettes titres dans leur dernier album ... |

Si non justement, pour remplacer le chanteur, il y a l'option Queen, un chanteur qui n'a rien a voir avec Plant, ou l'option Journey, embaucher un clone de Plant, et bien ce serait plutot l'option Queen, d'après le bassiste :

D'acc pour VH Et puis en plus on retrouve Roth dans le lune-up, donc pour les fans de la première heure, c'est génial 
Et puis "commercial", "pas commercial", t'en connais combien toi des groupes qui filent gratuitement leurs albums ? Faut pas déconner, t'es obligé de passer par la case "money" quand t'es dans un groupe pareil. | |
