Avalanche se compose de 2 chanteurs (chant clair/ chant guttural) ainsi qu'une chanteuse.
Pour le moment l'album est en préparation. Mais c du bon....
AVALANCHE Swedish/Danish progressive/melodic metal outfit has for long been a growing brainchild of singer Jake E (Ex-DREAM EVIL, DREAMLAND) and guitarist Olof Mörck (NIGHTRAGE, DRAGONLAND), following a desire and ambition to break out of the mould of previous bands and projects, to form something new and fresh entirely. AVALANCHE – the name strongly suggests what to expect from this young, yet experienced constellation; a formidable onslaught of melodies, riffs, in short, harmony ethereally fused with aggression. There are many traits unique to AVALANCHE, foremost is the presence of three main singers; Jake E on clean vocals, cabaret virtuoso Elize providing soaring female vocals and Andy (WITHIN Y, EVILDOER, CIPHER SYSTEM) delivers the guttural and brutal screams, together creating a very distinct and instantly recognisable sound.
Another defining feature of AVALANCHE is the idea of a collective – everyone from superstars of the industry to just generally talented people will lend their unique skills to AVALANCHE on the coming album, names that will be revealed in the near future. This, however, won’t stop AVALANCHE from being a tour de force in live shows and tours, since the core of this metal machinery is based primarily on the regular members. To round up the still growing line-up is up and coming Danish drummer Morten (ARCANE ORDER, SUBMISSION), who have been seen behind the kit with acts such as SOILWORK, SCARVE, NIGHTRAGE among numerous others. To try to describe AVALANCHE’s music is as challenging as it is redundant, so here, as a first teaser in a rough pre-production mix is a genuine AVALANCHE hit; Leave Everything Behind, with more tasters to follow shortly. So, keep your eyes and ears peeled as this AVALANCHE will come thundering down a mountain near you in late 2008/early2009!

AVALANCHE, the new project featuring Olof Mörck (NIGHTRAGE, DRAGONLAND), Jake E (ex-DREAM EVIL, DREAMLAND), Andy Solveström (WITHIN Y, EVILDOER, CIPHER SYSTEM) and Morten Lowe Sorensen (THE ARCANE ORDER, SUBMISSION), has changed its name to AMARANTHE.
Commented Mörck: "Due to a legal dispute and copyright claims, we have decided to change our name to AMARANTHE. The mysterious and aesthetic ring of the name fits our name even more perfectly than AVALANCHE, and we hope that you will like it too! All current AMARANTHE activities will remain unaffected by this, and you can expect to hear news about the upcoming album very soon!"
AMARANTHE recently posted video footage from the pre-production sessions for the band's debut album. The four-minute clip below features the creation of the brand new AMARANTHE song "Hunger".
IN FLAMES bassist Peter Iwers and EVERGREY keyboardist Rickard Zander are among the guest musicians who will appear on the upcoming AVALANCHE CD.
Mörck previously stated about the band: "AMARANTHE has for long been an idea between me and Jake E to break out of the mold of our past projects and create something new and fresh entirely and to give room for ideas not appropriate for the other acts and projects we are part of. The result is an onslaught of soaring melodies, heavy riffing and guttural screams from the netherworld, a result of having three singers in the band; Jake E on clean vocals, cabaret virtuoso Elize on female vocals and Andy on screams. The result is a quite distinct sound, especially combined with the music itself that draws upon influences from a varied spectrum of genres, all to create a thrilling experience for the listener. Another defining feature of AMARANTHE is the idea of a collective — everyone from superstars of the industry to just generally talented people will lend their unique skills to AMARANTHE on the coming album. This, however, won't stop AMARANTHE from being a tour de force in live shows and tours, since the core of this metal machinery is based primarily on the regular members.
