EMI Electrola will release the "Best Of" album from German metallers AXXIS on November 17.
EMI Electrola originally asked AXXIS for their co-operation in releasing a "best of" collection from the band several years ago. But the group was reluctant to release a compilation of material that was already available on the market. AXXIS singer Bernhard Weiss explained: "Contractually EMI is allowed to [do] with our old songs [as they please], but in this case we wouldn't support this project!"
After a long period of negotiations, the label and the band are now very happy with the final result.
Featuring previously unreleased material, remixed songs, and special acoustic versions of older tracks recorded earlier this year at Soundworxx studio, "Best Of" is a double CD containing ballads on the first disc and acoustic recordings on the second disc.
Said Weiss: "We were able to convince the label to invest a little bit more money into the project to get a worthy result. Today everybody is able to create their own AXXIS song collection or own sampler with [CD burning] etc. If a major label wants to release a 'best of,' it must be more special!"

Coup dur pour le groupe, le guitariste Guido Wehmeyer les quitte, vous jouez de la guitare, c'est le moment de postuler ! :
Guitarist Guido Wehmeyer has left the German metallers AXXIS. According to a posting on the group's web site, "The band did know his decision since September 2006 and wanted to say thanks for the great time, the great productions and the wonderful gigs with him. For AXXIS it's not an easy situation but everybody accepted Guido's plan for his own future. In Karlsruhe/Germany was the last gig with him and AXXIS presented a large cake for their long-time colleague during their private party. The goodbye was not easy ...you can see it on the pics. The band tries to find a good alternative and if someone thinks that he's able to do this job he can sent and mail with bio and fotos to axxisworld@aol.com." |

Et bien ça y est, le nouveau est déjà embauché : Marco Wriedt, un ptit jeune de 22 ans qui a l'air d'avoir impressionné le groupe, tant mieux :
German metallers AXXIS have announced the addition of guitarist Marco Wriedt to the group's ranks.
Commented keyboardist Harry Oellers: "As Marco arrived in the studio, I thought Walter (original AXXIS guitar player) is back! We sent him all of our actual songs and he played everything perfectly!"
Added vocalist Bernhard Weiß: "This guy is 22 years old and very creative. We just let him play to our new production and it was ... awesome!"

Ce mec est trés bon. Il a fait la première partie de la tournée de Soto en 2005 avec un petit groupe, Time, si certains se souviennent. Dernièrement, il jouait avec la bimbo Daize Shayne. |
