Le groupe de métal symphonique français FAIRYLAND a signé chez Napalm Records. Leur nouvel album, "The Fall of an Empire", est déjà disponible au Japon, et sortira partout ailleurs en 2007, avec une réédition de Wars in Osyrhia" leur premier album (2003). |

Les Niçois ont mis en ligne 2 morceaux + une vidéo qui mixe des extraits de l'album et des images de leur illustrateur, comme il l'ont si bien expliqué en ... Niçois :

coup dur pour le groupe, vu sur leur forum: Anthony Parker (guitariste soliste) a decidé de quitter Fairyland. Thomas Cesario (guitariste soliste) et Vincent Kreyder (batteur) ont décidé de le suivre. la suite va pas être facile ! |

et Max Leclercq quitte aussi le navire, ne reste plus que le frontman qui était quand même le compositeur, donc ça ne compromet pas l'avenir du groupe, mais il va falloir qu'il embauche, tout est à reconstruire, voici le communiqué officiel du groupe français en ... anglais ! :
Keyboardist Philippe Giordana of the French symphonic metal band FAIRYLAND has issued the following update:
"Anthony [Parker; guitar], Vincent [Kreyder; drums], Tom [Cesario; guitar, bass] and Max [Leclercq; vocals] have decided to leave FAIRYLAND and go on with their own project. The reasons for their departure have not been clearly expressed, and the way they handled the whole business, with direct announcement on FAIRYLAND's forum prior to any kind of discussion with Intromental Management, Napalm Records, Marquee Avalon, Burrn! Corporation or even me, was not very professional. However, it is their decision and I wish them all the luck they will need to make their new project break through.
"Regarding FAIRYLAND, I am and have always been the song writer, also taking care of the lyrics and vocal lines, plus the concept behind my music. So there is no reason why I should stop doing so. The only point I need to think about is whether I will try and build a new line-up, or just stay by myself and use guest musicians from different horizons. That last solution is quite appealing, since it can bring a lot of diversity to FAIRYLAND, plus it will mean I don't have to handle a line-up's personal issues, which is really time consuming. I'll then be able to concentrate on the music only, and all will be best.
"Meanwhile, stay tuned to get a whole bunch of information about FAIRYLAND's next releases.

It is still important to remember that the change is mainly based on the lineup, a situation that has been met and easily been dealt with before. I remain the sole composer of FAIRYLAND, and all the melodies and ingredients, that have made the band what it is, will be present on this new opus, with the addition of great musicians ready to share their skills and determination.
"I've spent these last months recording the pre-production of the album, trekking back and forth between my home studio in Nice, France, and Portogruaro-Venice, Italy with Fabio (D'Amore from the band PATHOSRAY) in his studio.
"So here I am, ready to make the first step towards the release of 'Score To A new Beginning'.
"The new album took a life on its own when composing it, and I've received lots of positive feedback from amazing musicians all around the world interested in participating on it.
"The main vocal character on the disc is the Italian singer Marco Sandron from the progressive metal band PATHOSRAY. FAIRYLAND - New Album To Feature Appearances From Members Of MANTICORA, SERENITY
Philippe Giordana, keyboardist/ backing vocalist for French symphonic metallers FAIRYLAND, has issued the following update:
"Hail!
It's been a while since Fairyland's last update. I've been quite busy with the pre-production of both MAGIC KINGDOM's new album Symphony Of War, for which I am taking care of the keyboards, and Fairyland's own Score To A New Beginning, the final chapter of the Osyrhian Chronicles.
I am entering the studio as this statement is being published, ready to put all my heart in the making of Fairyland's new album.
It's been a fast, rough, furious and most of all interesting year since that ugly conjuncture within the band. As already stated, I won't say more about this, as I feel it is not a matter of public discussion.
So, more about the new Fairyland album...
The final Name of this album is Score To A New Beginning, a name that surely fits the album, the era, and the changes within the band. It is still important to remember that the change is mainly based on the Line-up, a situation that has been met and easily been dealt with before. I remain the sole composer of Fairyland, and all the melodies and ingredients, that have made the band what it is, will be present on this new opus, with the addition of great musicians ready to share their skills and determination.
