Plutôt d'accord avec Sonata avec le temps et la réécoute des anciens, bon soyons clair c'est moins bien, plus convenu, bref ils se sont pas foulé la rate! pas mal mais sans plus et effectivement nettement moins accrocheur, malheureusement plus je l'écoute plus il se neutralise!!!

On peut donc se demander si le fait d'être aussi prolifique que L.A.D. (un album tous les ans) ne nuit pas à la qualité de l'ensemble... La question est posé. D'ailleurs, le line up travaille aussi partiellement avec Talisman.  |

Swedish/German Melodic Rock band Last Autumn's Dream have once again started the year with a bang. This is their sixth studio album and they can certainly prove they have what it takes to become top of the melodic rock genre. The talented four-piece consisting of singer Mikael Erlandsson, axeman Andy Malecek and Talisman's rhythm section, Marcel Jacob and Jamie Borger have showed us they can write very good songs which are well structured and have huge potential.
Mikael Erlandsson is one of the best singer/songwriters in Sweden today with a successful career as a solo artist, especially in Europe and Japan. Andy Malecek, from the successful German Hard Rock band Fair Warning is a very talented guitarist, has a brilliant tone and a flair for putting guitar harmonies together. Marcel Jacob and Jamie Borger are something of the best bass/drums units you can find around.
Dreamcatcher is a natural progression for the band and sees them hone their sound to a perfect and very professional structure. The songs just flow effortlessly as if it is no problem for them. Yet, the thought and work they have put in is plain to see…the delicate "Welcome" intro of parping keys and strutting rhythms leads way to "One by One" a song that that has all the LAD hallmarks of catchy melodies and a super chorus…a stamp that they carry through the entire CD. The track "Frozen Flower" has a warm vibe that shows the bands commercial appeal, the song has an immense chorus and will have you singing along after the first line! The band is just at home with heart tugging ballads, examples being "Silent Dream" and "Never Faraway", but when they rock, they rock, check out "Alarm" and "Your Kind of loving". One outstanding cut has to be "Who need's love", which is one of those songs that could be a movie soundtrack...
As previously mentioned this is the band's sixth studio release and it is a tremendously talented piece of work from four guys that know how to write excellent songs. This should put them at the top of their field; it is such a great album. Last Autumn's Dream are ready to dominate the melodic rock market once again with this fantastic introduction to 2009. |
