Frontiers Records has issued the following:
"Frontiers Records is truly excited to introduce the world the talents of LAND OF TALES. The band is formed around Kristian and Palle, two musicians who have been playing together for fifteen years in a Finnish band called NAISKALA. During the past few years the guys have felt more and more the need to write and compose in English language and towards and more Adult-Oriented Rock musical style.
Kristian started writing songs in November 2006, meanwhile Petri Lahtinen and Mika Mäkiranta wrote the lyrics for the tales. The result was a demo that was submitted to the attention of Frontiers Records in the past weeks. The brilliant songwriting, catchy melodies and big choruses immediately hit the attention of Frontiers Records A&R team, who decided to offer the band a recording deal.
In the meanwhile, long time musicians and friends Sami Rajala (on bass) and Sami Ojala (on drums) joined the band and right now the guys are busy in the studio completing the songwriting for their debut album which is foreseen to be released in early 2008.
The Land of Tales sound can be described as an equal union of keyboards and guitar, well crafted and with truly original and strong melodic elements! Check out some of the band’s demo tracks that gained them the recording deal at www.myspace.com/landoftales

ben voila, qques posts sur Rockmeeting et ... Frontiers les signe, c'est pas beau la vie, la sortie est prévue pour 2008, en attendant, je viens de me réecouter les titres dispo sur myspace, que du bon :

LAND OF TALES Finish Writing Songs For Debut; Track Titles Revealed
Finnish duo LAND OF TALES have completed the songwriting for the tracks that will be included on their still-untitled debut album, to be released on Frontiers Records sometime in 2008.

Frontiers Records is excited to present the world the talents of Land Of Tales, a brand new Melodic Rock quartet hailing from Finland, going to release its self titled debut album on July 4.
Land of Tales is a brand new band masterminded by two guys, Kristian (vocals and guitar) and Palle (keyboards), who started doing music together since the tender age of six and seven. They have been playing together for fifteen years in a band called Naiskala. However all the time, there was a constant urge to make more adult oriented rock music, sung in English.
Kristian finally started writing songs in this new direction during November 2006, meanwhile Petri Lahtinen and Mika Mäkiranta wrote the lyrics for the tales. They uploaded the songs on their MySpace page (www.myspace.com/landoftales), getting a fabulous response from all over the world. International Fan Clubs have been already founded in Germany and overseas. Land of Tales therefore started shopping their music around, until they caught the interest of Frontiers Records who signed them in the fall of 2007.
The Land of Tales sound is an equal union of keyboards and guitar, crafted with catchy melodies and BIG choruses! The result is a somewhat original and peculiar approach to songwriting and music that makes them stand apart from many other bands of the Melodic Rock genre.
“The new album sounds exactly how we wanted it to sound” says Kristian, “I think that the production sounds like classic stadium rock but still fresh. It is great that people can finally hear Land of Tales´ melodic songs”.
In the summer 2007 long time musical friends Sami on bass and Sami O. on drums joined the band during the debut album recording sessions.
Land of Tales are geared up to take the Melodic Rock world by storm. Get ready for their exciting slice of class, melodies and Rock! |
