A mon avis Gibert ils vont prendre chers !

All 10,200 tickets to METALLICA's June 17, 2009 concert at Spektrum in Oslo, Norway were snapped up within 15 minutes after they went on sale at 9:00 a.m today (Monday, October 20).
Kristin Svendsen of concert promoter Live Nation said, "It is difficult to say whether this is a record, but it can't be far away from it." He added that it's not technically possible to sell tickets any faster.
According to Svendsen, the Oslo show will be the only Norwegian date on METALLICA's World Magnetic Tour 09. "We have to do with what we have," he explained. "Some fans have been lucky with the tickets, and some haven't been so lucky."
METALLICA played a special rehearsal show to about 1,200 family, friends, contest winners and members of the band's official fan club Friday night (October 17) at the Cow Palace just outside San Francisco, California. According to photographer Alan Ralph, who attended the concert, it was a "great show (of course!), in the round, complete with fire, a bit of pyro, laser light show (entire first song, then during some of 'Master Of Puppets'), eight huge lighting rigs shaped as coffins, and a setlist that went from 'Harvester Of Sorrow' to five 'Death Magnetic' tracks to 'Fight Fire With Fire', 'Master Of Puppets', and 'Seek And Destroy'! Unfortunately, they didn't play 'Creeping Death', they played three slower songs, and they played a 'St. Anger' song, 'Frantic'. The stage itself was very basic — eight mics, one placed every 10 feet, drumset in the middle (on a rotating spinner, which spun 1/4 turn every few songs to make a complete loop by the end of the show), two sets of 4-5 amps, not stacked, kept low to the stage so people could see over them; in between the sets was a fire rig." | "_____ http://www.myspace.com/metal_den _____ http://metalden.free.fr/forum _____" |

Metallica sur Guitar Heroe, voici le trailer :
http://uk.gamespot.com/wii/puzzle/guitarherometallica/video/6200082/guitar-hero-metallica-official-trailer-1
GameSpot has uploaded a high-quality version of the official trailer for Guitar Hero: Metallica (see below), which appears as an unlockable Easter egg in in both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions of Guitar Hero: World Tour. A low-quality version of the 27-clip surfaced last week on YouTube, offering only a tiny taste of what the game might hold, with a brief snippet of the band's 1986 classic track "Master of Puppets". After telling viewers to "Unleash your metal god," the trailer flashes the logo for the game, due out sometime next year.
Guitar Hero: Metallica, which was first revealed via an Activision earnings report in June, will be the second band-based game in the Guitar Hero series. The first, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, was released this past June for the Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3.
METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich is a huge proponent of music-based video games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band and plays both with his kids. "It works on a couple of fronts," he said. "It works on the front of sharing the experiences with your kids. It works on exposing your kids to music. And it also helps Dad a little bit, because all of a sudden Dad's in the video game, and that helps balance the perception of Dad when Dad spends a lot of time talking about doing homework and eating vegetables and all this other stuff, you know what I mean?"
When it came time for METALLICA to partner with one of the games, Ulrich told The Pulse of Radio why the band went with Guitar Hero. "We had to make a decision, and it was one or the other, and we felt that Guitar Hero were more suited for what we were looking for," he said. "They were ready to step up on a number of fronts and it's been great. You probably have heard a few birds chirping about the potential of a METALLICA game at some point in the future, and who knows what's gonna lurk next year, but it's pretty exciting."
All the songs on METALLICA's new album, "Death Magnetic", are downloadable for the new Guitar Hero: World Tour, which arrived in stores this past Sunday (October 26). METALLICA also created a special "extended" version of a "Death Magnetic" track called "Suicide and Redemption" for playing on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. | "_____ http://www.myspace.com/metal_den _____ http://metalden.free.fr/forum _____" |

Official Metallica.com footage from METALLICA's October 25, 2008 concert in Kansas City, Missouri can be viewed below. The video includes footage from the pre-show meet-and-greet, the "Wasting My Hate" backstage jam session and the "Harvester Of Sorrow" performance.
METALLICA is playing at least five songs a night from its new "Death Magnetic" album on its current tour, but the group's not ignoring its older material by any means. In fact, METALLICA continues to dip heavily into its catalog as well, giving bassist Robert Trujillo a chance to put his mark on tunes recorded up to 20 years before he joined the band. The Pulse of Radio asked Trujillo to name some of his favorite METALLICA classics to play. "Anything off 'Ride the Lightning' and 'Master of Puppets' is always a great, fun time for me as a bass player," he said. "I love playing 'Disposable Heroes', we don't play it very often. I've been having fun playing 'Justice' ('...And Justice For All'). So I don't know, there's a lot. Every song is great. It's just always about having a good time, especially with the old stuff."
Recent METALLICA set lists have included vintage material like "Fight Fire With Fire", "Ride The Lightning", "Blackened" and "The Four Horsemen".
METALLICA plays on Thursday night (November 6) in Omaha, Nebraska.
"Death Magnetic", the band's ninth studio album, fell to No. 12 on this week's Billboard album chart, selling 38,000 copies to increase its total to 1.25 million. | "_____ http://www.myspace.com/metal_den _____ http://metalden.free.fr/forum _____" |

According to Reuters, negotiations over an Australian tour by METALLICA have been shelved due to a dramatic slump in the value of the Australian dollar.
After hitting a 25-year high of 98.49 U.S. cents in mid-July, the Aussie ended the week at about 65 cents.
That's "causing quite a lot of problems for all promoters in Australia," says Vivian Lees, co-promoter of touring festival Big Day Out, which will travel to five Australian cities as well as the Auckland, New Zealand, between January 16 and February 1. "Such a rapid decline has meant everyone has been caught."

METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich recently told RollingStone.com that the band's massive world tour behind "Death Magnetic" could very well last beyond next year. "We're booked up through August of next year, and right now we're sort of laying out fall of '09 and the spring of '10," he said. "We're waiting for a few other countries to be actually formalized as nations so we can be the first band in. We're also waiting for the polar caps to stabilize so we can go play there. There's talk about some other planets too."
Regarding the band's first American arena tour in four years, Lars said, "It's great to be back indoors. We're right in the thick of it in the middle of the arena. It completely exposes every nuance and that adds a real tone of vitality and excitement."
METALLICA will wrap up the current leg of its North American tour on December 20 in Oakland. | "_____ http://www.myspace.com/metal_den _____ http://metalden.free.fr/forum _____" |
