Des news du groupe : ils sont en train de bosser, finalement ils vont conserver le nom du groupe s'il y a accord de la famille du chanteur Dave, décédé. Et ils sont toujours à la recherche d'un autre chanteur ...
Voici le communiqué du groupe :
"First of all, we want to apologize for our lack of reporting what's happening in the band. I'm afraid we have given the impression that there's nothing goin' on at all but that's truly not the case here and it's only a matter of time before we can completely prove this to you.
"We have been working daily to get our shit bakk on trakk again, with no results at all you might think as we still haven't even found the right guy to front us but the truth is that we all feel very strong now, the chemistry between us in the band is better than ever and with the new demo songs coming out from Mr. Sweet [Martin Sweet, guitar] and even Mr. Young's [Eric Young, drums] ass we're sure we can please everyone of you sleazy dirtbags out there. We have about 30 new tunes worth of material for a new album hopefully to come out before next summer. At least we're aiming for it!
"We're actually pretty much convinced that we should keep the name after numerous sleepless nights and after approval from the Lepard family. We feel that we want to carry on the CRASHDIET legacy, which will keep Dave's spirit alive for a long long time. It would be a shame NOT to spread the message across the whole world and let them know what real music should sound like!
"More testing remains with the current singers we are working with until we can make any decision, and we still want to try out more singers so if you think you're the one, drop us an e-mail to: singer@crashdiet.org.
"We promise you won't have to wait this long until you hear from us again." |

CRASHDIET Guitarist Martin Sweet On Late Bandmate Dave Lepard: "We Couldn't Believe He Wasn't Coming Back, Ever..."

Rockeyez.com ( www.rockeyez.com ) has issued an interview with CRASHDIET guitartist Martin Sweet, conducted by Brian Rademacher. The following is an excerpt from the interview:
Q: Welcome Martin, after the passing of the late great Dave Lepard, Crashdiet released a press statement, which read:
“In a joint statement released to the media, Martin Sweet (guitar), Peter London (bass) and Eric Young (drums) said, 'As a band member, but most of all as a person, Dave Lepard we will miss him for all eternity. Dave was nothing but a genius and a very special person. Crashdiet will definitely not continue as a band. Crashdiet consisted of four people and now one has left us.'”
What changed your mind later to continue?
A: "That was what we felt at that time. I mean we were in shock. We couldn’t believe he wasn’t coming back, ever... It still feels like he’s on a long vacation sometimes. But now it’s been quite a while since it happened. We’ve discussed the issue with a lot of people including some of the Lepard family and they’re very positive about us keeping the name. We believe that if we do so, we will keep Dave’s legacy alive in many ways, ‘cause we’re still heading for the top and releasing albums (including Rest In Sleaze) in every damn country there is! We’ll also pay tribute to him on stage, when the time comes to tour...
Crashdiet is our favorite band and we don’t want anyone to miss out on the kick ass rock ‘n’ roll that comes with it!
