..qui a joué avec l'ex 1er chanteur de SHOTGUN MESSIAH Zinny J. Zan et aussi Randy Piper (ex W.A.S.P.).
le 1er titre de la page myspace, en solo, est vraiment excellent ("instinct animal")
le reste pas trop a mon gout mais plaira a d'autres.

wedish songwriter, producer and guitarist Chris Laney (RANDY PIPER, ZAN CLAN) has signed a deal with AOR Heaven. His first album will be recorded at Polar Studios in Stockholm (ABBA, LED ZEPPELIN, THE ROLLING STONES, ALICE COOPER, DEF LEPPARD, THE DARKNESS) and will be produced by Laney himself along with Lennart Östlund (GENESIS, LED ZEPPELIN, ABBA, EUROPE). The musical direction? Kick-ass rock with arena rock hooks — big, over the top sunset strip rock! Musicians set to appear on the CD include J. Koleberg and Grizzly from ANIMAL, Ian Haugland (EUROPE) on one track, Martin Sweet (CRASHDIET) and Vic Zino (HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, CRAZY LIXX). A 2009 release is expected. |

Il a quitté ANIMAL pour mieux se consacrer à sa carrière solo, avec à la clé, un album, Pure, pour le 27 mars:
Swedish songwriter/producer/artist Chris Laney has left ANIMAL, the band led by former W.A.S.P. guitarist Randy Piper, in order to pursue a solo career. He tells the Rock Eyez web site, "All the guys in ANIMAL are great and we have had an awesome time together and I will always consider Randy Piper and Rich Lewis my brothers, but there is simply not enough time to be both a producer and an artist in different bands. So I have to choose and since I got this record deal for a solo album that is what I went for."
Metal Heaven has set a March 27 release date for "Pure", the first solo album from Chris Laney. The songs on the CD were all written by Laney with co-writers like Bruce Kulick (KISS, UNION, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD), Lennart Östlund (LED ZEPPELIN, THE ROLLING STONES, ABBA, GENESIS), Mats Levén (THERION, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) and others. Laney sings all songs on "Pure", which includes appearances by guest musicians J. Koleberg (ANIMAL, ZAN CLAN), Nalle Pahlsson (TREAT, ANIMAL, ZAN CLAN), Vic Zino (HARDCORE SUPERSTAR), Martin Sweet (CRASHDIET) and Zinny Zan (EASY ACTION, SHOTGUN MESSIAH, ZAN CLAN).
Chris Laney has been involved in music all his life. He started to tour at the age of 13 and was in bands like SCRATCH and SEVENTEEN. He is a multi-talented musician who plays piano, drums and other instruments, but the guitar is what has become his closest friend. He is also known as a brilliant songwriter and producer. He spends time working at Polar Studios that was built by members in ABBA.
As a producer/engineer, Chris Laney has worked with artists like CANDLEMASS, EUROPE, CRASHDIET, Bruce Kulick, Brian "Robbo" Robertson, EASY ACTION and others.
As a guitarist, you will find Chris Laney as a member in Randy Piper's ANIMAL and ZAN CLAN, bands where he was also the main songwriter and producer. Chris Laney has released two albums with ex-W.A.S.P. guitarist Randy Piper and his band ANIMAL, "Violent New Breed" (2006) and "Virus" (2008). Chris Laney has released one album with ZAN CLAN, "We Are Zan Clan … Who the Fxxk Are You" (2005) and the DVD "Kickz The Livin Shit … Outta Stockholm" (2006).
