Très belle brochette de titres des fin '60- '70! Bon en fait il y a pas vraiment un titre de Led Zep le "you Shook me" est un titre de Willie Dixon a l'origine qui a était repris par beaucoup de musiciens.  | |

Etonnant mais un peu barbant aussi...encore un album de reprise 60's/70's.
...et accroche toi tonton, LYNCH ou pas ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER, faut oser repasser après la version d'Hendrix. Les deux trucs qui m'intriguent sont la reprise des Beatles, le superbe I want you que Coroner avait déjà repris plutôt bien d'ailleurs et STORMBRINGER. Là, ça va encore être un sacré défi par que le PURPLE de l'époque avait ce son caractéristique, si chouette mais tellement éloigné des canons des "productions" balourdes actuelles...c'est qu'il faisait dans la finesse le père Blackmore à l'époque

Très bon cet album de George Lynch, le chanteur Kelly Keeling a le don de se mettre dans la peau du vocaliste original:
-sur le titre de Montrose sa voix est très proche de Sammy Hagar.
-sur "Stormbringer" elle se rapproche de Coverdale et bonne version.
-"You shook Me" de Dixon est dans le style Led Zep & "All along the Watchtower" est réussi.
La surprise est le titre des Beatles "I want you" que je connaissais pas du tout qui est chouette!
-Très belle version du "Bridge of Sighs" de Robin Trower | |

"I am frequently asked what George Lynch is up to, and besides the previously mentioned work on the new BENEDICTUM CD, I did have the pleasure of playing on seven tracks from George's latest project the SOULS OF WE. The music is George's most inspired in years, and the record is really strong. Singer London LeGrand is a real character with appeal to both modern and old-school fans. The lyrics are great. George is really excited and feels he hasn't had this strong a connection with a singer since Oni Logan in the early LYNCH MOB days. And when George is inspired and on fire — watch out world! I don't yet know who will be in the final version of the band, but George and London are in sync with some great music. I can't imagine George's fans not loving this. Hopefully the record will be done soon." |
