Hello, rockers!

I'm proud to announce that we started a project for free and legal music, called YOUROCK. In it bands offer their songs for free listening and some of them - for downloading absolutely freely. No payment, registration, software download required!

In YouRock, you can find:
400+ songs
45+ bands from 20 countries and 5 continents
3,000MB+ of music
25hrs+ of pure rock/gothic/metal sound

One more thing, every month the website has voting for band of the month and you can vote once every 12 hours! The new round will start on 10.02.2010 and your favorites need you!

Happy to say that on 10/02/2010 the player would be split into bands, and you will be able to browse them by country and genre. Please, excuse us if you cannot see all bands at the moment.

The Swedish band PAGAN would participate with four songs.

The new voting has started today. You can vote for band of the month for February.

And that's right... sadly big labels do not support the view to share some of the music that the signed artists make for free... So in order to have it completely freely, we had to find bands/artists that are not so famous...
However, AMON DIN (Serbia) have been on many major festivals across Europe, EletriKa is one of the major metal bands in Brazil, Odd Crew (Bulgaria) is very famous here, Darkside of Innocence (Portugal) won a competition in an underground metal website and Meldrum (USA) is famous with Michelle Meldrum (one of the best female guitarists, founder of the band, died some time ago)...

So far the interest in free music is really big, but if it gets bigger, big labels would understand that it's a nice way to promote their bands and to get some new fans... So we really need to spread the word and show that there is future in free music.

Soon there would be free downloads from some of the bands.
