WHITESNAKE travaille sur le nouvel album : "Good to be Bad", pour une sortie en fin d'année.. La vidéo du nouveau morceau qui était sorti dans le live : Ready to Rock est en ligne ici :

Si non l'autre news, c'est que Reb Beach (WHITESNAKE, WINGER) va remplacer Jeff Watson dans NIGHT RANGER pour la tournée de cet été au Japan et aux U.S, ce qui est compatible avec le planning de WHITESNAKE .
si non pour le 20eme anniv de "1987" il y aura une re édition spéciale incluant un bonus DVD) pour la fin mai. |

Loin de moi l'idée de minimiser le rôle de Reb dans WHITESNAKE mais David fait souvent référence à Doug comme étant LE guitariste du Serpent Blanc... J'ai toujours trouvé ça bizarre d'ailleurs, afficher une "différence" voire "préférence" au sein de son band... 
Mais si les agendas sont compatibles, tant mieux... Et puis NIGHT RANGER n'est pas parti pour tourner 6 ans et sortir un disque par an...  |

D'après ce que j'avais lu sur les dernières interviews, la préférence vient tout simplement du fait que Doug est beaucoup plus disponible notamment pour composer avec David, (c'était vrai pour les derniers nouveaux morceaux, et n'est pas autant pris que son collègue sur des side projects, mais là, sur le coup, ça va peut être changer ! |

Si non je sais pas si ça va aider les partisans ou adversaires de l'ours dans les pyrenées, mais David raconte son aventure lors de la rencontre d'un ours ... chez lui ! Il habitait près d'un Lac dans le Névada :
WHITESNAKE/ex-DEEP PURPLE frontman David Coverdale, who has lived on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, Nevada for 22 years, recently described an encounter with "a huge black bear," who came close to entering the Coverdale residence in search of food. A second incident where a bear actually entered Coverdale's house is recounted in the singer's latest online update:
"Yes, it appears we have a very real problem. This was a different, much bigger bear... I estimate 450-pounder. He broke into the swimming pool, took a swim, mind you...cool as you like, broke out thro' another window, broke into a guest bedroom. Fortunately the guest left this morning, but, unfortunately, left the sliding glass door open. This is where the bear came in. I was in my office on the same floor, thank God, when Jaz [David's son Jasper] burst in saying he'd heard something in the pool. I paged the house for my assistant Mikey, grabbed an air horn canister and ran out of my office just as the bear's head came out of the room. Jesus, he was big... I ran toward him screaming, firing off the air horn and shocked the buggery out of him... He turned and scarpered out the way he came. I chased him into the garden and saw his size... OMIGOD! Thank God he ran off... no way was I gonna wrestle this bugger! Anyway, we had a SWAT team over to go thro' the house and gardens just checking everything out. Apparently, there is a great deal of bear activity in the area...more than ever. Unfortunately, they are coming down from higher ground for water and food. After all, this was/is their environment, so I can understand, but once humans move in, that's when tragedy can occur. We now have a big bear trap in the garden. Man, this is surreal. We are still in MAJOR lockdown at the ol' Coverdale residence... For some reason, I don't think these guys care for rock. I have been trying to record for the last three days and something happens to prevent me! Maybe they're DURAN fans, or something!" |

voila une bonne nouvelle, le nouvel album : Good to be Bad" pour le 13 mai 2008 via spv, 14 titres produits par Mike Fraser, dont deux ballades, co-ecrits comme on l'avait dit précédemment par Coverdale et Aldrich. Pour rappel la video de Ready to Rock : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_XQYSiKBVs
According to Classic Rock magazine, the new WHITESNAKE album, "Good to be Bad", will be released on May 13, 2008 via SPV. The CD was produced by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, AEROSMITH, COVERDALE/PAGE, METALLICA, etc.) and David Coverdale and features 14 songs (12 hard rock songs and two ballads), all of which were written by David Coverdale and guitarist Doug Aldrich. Other band members include Reb Beach (guitar), Tommy Aldridge (drums) and Uriah Duffy (bass).
WHITESNAKE's video for the new studio song "Ready to Rock" can be viewed below. The track is one of four previously unreleased cuts that appear on WHITESNAKE's new live record, entitled "Live… In the Shadow of the Blues", which was issued in Europe in November via Steamhammer/SPV Records. |
