Jul. 19 - Trillians - Newcastle, UK (In Memory Of Little Jeff)
Aug. 05 - Bedford Park - Bedford, UK (with STATUS QUO)
Aug. 31 - Stormin' The Castle - Durham, UK
Mais c'est aussi l'enregistrement d'un nouvel album, ils sont recemment rentrés au studio Lost Boys dans le Bedfordshireavec le co-producteur Nick Mailing . D'après un post sur leur site, ce sera un retour au racines et plus diversifié que Well Oiled : "this album sees the band returning to their roots with a more varied selection of styles than 'Well Oiled'. Songs recorded so far include 'Love This Dirty Town', 'One More For The Road', 'Mona Lisa Smiled', 'Take A Look At Yourself', '(She's Got The) Dirt On Me', 'Blackwater', 'Late Nite Saturday Call', 'Fear Within The Lie', plus more to be recorded." |

Le concert du 7 est un concert de charité en faveur du Clive Burr MS Trust et du Teenage Cancer Trust. Celui du 19 est à la mémoire de Little Jeff, fameux DJ de Newcastle qui est mort il y a environ 2 ans.Il semblerait qu'il y ait également un concert de Damage Control au festival Bloodstock en août, mais cela n'a pas été confirmé sur le site des Quireboys. Bon, cela fait beaucoup de week-ends en Angleterre tout cela mais je ne vais pas me plaindre
L'album devrait sortir à la rentrée avec une tournée anglaise peu après et des dates européennes en début d'année prochaine probablement |

merci, héhé, dès qu'il s'agit de Spike, le temps de réponse est très court !  et bien tu as raison, Spike sera avec ce bon vieux Pete Way (et les autres ... )au BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR FESTIVAL le 17 aout, c'est annoncé sur le site de Dammage control :

"THE QUIREBOYS have finished recording their new record. It is currently being mixed. Tour dates commence in April. A UK tour with DAN BAIRD and the DIAMOND DOGS will take place in May. Dates will be announced very shortly. Some festival appearances are already confirmed."

un best of en préparation, et les travaux sur le nouvel album sont terminés, "Homewreckers & Heartbreakers" sortirait en avril :
THE QUIREBOYS vocalist Spike and guitarist Griff are currently collaborating with EMI Records, helping to compile "The Best Of The Quireboys". This will be a double CD of material from the band's EMI-era recordings. It will contain many previously unreleased tracks and rarities, and is due for release this April at a budget price.
THE QUIREBOYS recently completed work on a new studio album, "Homewreckers & Heartbreakers", for an April release. A UK tour with DAN BAIRD and the DIAMOND DOGS will take place in May.

The band are currently in London mixing the album at Good Luck studios in London with Mark Wallis who has worked with Travis and U2 and also worked on the Quireboys 'Bitter sweet and Twisted....they expect to finish by the end of next week...
tournée européenne prévue :
The Quireboys first tour in over 2 years has now been confirmed..Dan baird and The Diamond Dogs are also appearing..The Quireboys and Dan Baird will play for equal amount of time..The Quireboys will close most of the shows..on some shows Dan Baird will play yhe final set..so check with the venues closer to the time of the gig...more European shows shall be added so watch this space...The Quireboys shall return later in the year with their own headlining tour.. |
